			1 Jazz Band Rehearsal Jazz Band Rehearsal October 1, 2026 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm Full Band Rehearsal: 2:15 pm - 3:45 pm These rehearsals are short. it is imperative that you practice outside of rehearsal to be ready for performances. We perform a lot. IBHS Music Program Handbook Attendance Expectations: - To participate in any music program sponsored activity, the student must have attended at least half of the school day on the day of the activity. - If a member misses ANY practice, it will be up to the Staff's discretion as to whether the student will perform for that week’s performance. The band member will still be required to attend the performance. All members must attend each activity in its entirety. - All appointments should be scheduled so they do not interfere with band activities. - Members will be allotted ONE excused absence from practice without penalty. - An unexcused absence from school will result in an unexcused absence from the music related event that day. - All prearranged absences, tardiness, or need to leave earlies, must be given to Mr. Grubb 48 hours in advance. - All absences/tardiness must be documented in written form (from your parent, doctor, teacher, club sponsor, etc.) and given to Mr. Grubb An Unexcused Absence from this rehearsal will earn a student 3 demerits. The only jacket members can wear to a performance is the official marching band jacket. - Each member will be required to have all parts of the uniform, cleaned and in good condition, for every performance. (Band Boosters pay to clean the Marching band field uniforms) - To participate in any music program sponsored activity, the student must have attended at least half of the school day on the day of the activity. - If a member misses ANY practice, it will be up to the coach’s discretion as to whether the student will perform for that week’s performance. Mann Performing Arts Center on the FSW Campus. If a student is interested participating, they should reach out to Mr. Grubb. See more details Band Booster Meeting Band Booster Meeting October 13, 2026 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm The Bulldog Music Boosters are the only way that this program stays afloat. Without the support of the Band Boosters, we would not be able to provide the amazing resources and instruction that we do. All funds, band staff, new equipment, meals, chaperones, trips and anything else you can think of is because of these amazing people. If you are interested in participating/contributing to the Bulldog Music Boosters, please reach out to our email, or Mr. Grubb. See more details • •	22 Wicked Walk - Down Town Ft Myers Wicked Walk - Down Town Ft Myers October 22, 2026 7:45 pm - 9:00 pm Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center, 2301 First St, Fort Myers, FL 33901, USA Wicked Walk - Jazz Band Performance - Downtown Ft Myers Uniform: Music Program Polo - Concert Black Transportation: Self-Transport Student's will arrive at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center at 5:00 pm to help unload the trailer and set-up the bands da Baker provides most of the equipment for this event so we must be ready to assist the other bands as they set up. After set-up is complete, students will be told when their performance time is and what time they must be at the stage to be ready to play. They will then be free to check out the rest of the stages, exhibits, arts galleries and shops. Students should bring money for food or souvenirs while downtown. Students are expected to remain at the event until it is over, to help load the Ida Baker Band Trailer when the final band has performed. Parents are encouraged to attend this event, it is a blast and showcases lots of student created art and music from all over the school district! Mr. Grubb will provide the performance time for each band as soon as it is available. "Self Transport Event" - Students must have a Parent/Guardian drive them to the event. If the students Parent/Guardian gives them permission to ride with another Parent or Mr. Grubb, that is also acceptable.
