Julian Grubb – Music Director
Hello all, My name is Mr. Julian Grubb and I and the Director of Bands at Ida S. Baker High School. I am a multi-instrumentalist and have experience teaching at many schools in and out of the Lee County School District. My goal as Director is to provide a learning environment that allows the most amount of students to benefit from music education. All students have the potential to grow and express themselves musically, and it is my job to help facilitate that in any way I can.
Julia Miller – Color Guard
Hi, I’m Julia Miller and I’m the Guard Instructor this season. This is my second year with the Bulldogs, and I’m so excited to be back! I’ve dancing for the last 10 years, and I love getting to teach a new era of performers!
August Evers – Woodwinds
I am August and this is my second year teching at Ida Baker! I’m a music education undergraduate student at FGCU with fond memories of my high school marching band experience that I hope to create for the future generation of musicians.
Josue Gallardo – Percussion
Josue Gallardo graduated from Florida Gulf Coast University with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance, focusing on percussion. He has instructed drumlines at several high schools and achieved success with Infinity Percussion, winning first place in 2017. Josue has performed with Benny Benack III and The Saturn Quartet. At FGCU, he was part of the Bower Honors Percussion Quartet and studied under Troy Jones and Brandon Robertson, aiming to excel across various musical genres.
Diego Figueredo – Brass
Hello my name is Diego Figueredo. I’m from Cape Coral, Florida and this is my first year as brass tech for Ida Baker High school’s marching band. I’ve been playing music for about 8 and a half years and have played most of the brass instruments. Very excited for the season and the show!
Ethan Reinek – Percussion
Hey! I’m a local drummer in the Cape Coral/Fort Myers music scene. I’ve been playing since I was 8 years old, and as a recent graduate of Ida Baker High School, I’m more than happy to help with staff and especially the lovely percussion section!
